EPL 10/11 [5]

Chegamos ao fim do 1º quarto de EPL e com ela a minha rápida análise da tabela, que se encontra assim:

Acho que a primeira coisa que salta aos olhos é a campanha pífia que vem fazendo o Liverpool, então comecemos pela parte de baixo da tabela.

Como não é surpresa para ninguém, os 3 times na zona de rebaixamento são West Ham,Wolverhampton e Blackburn, times de baixo investimento e que normalmente rodeiam o fundo da tabela.A presença do Wigan, que começou essa temporada levando goleadas a torto e a direito também não surpreende nem um pouco.

Acima desses 4, há um bloco de 4 que eu não esperava um desempenho tão ruim. O Stoke , praticando seu futebol no limite da brutalidade tem se mantido na EPL sem passar grandes sustos mas hoje começa a olhar para baixo com preocupação.O Birmingham City fez um belo time , para no mínimo repetir seu 9º lugar e também tem um desempenho abaixo do esperado.

Aston Villa e Liverpool passam por semelhantes dramas, crises de identidade. O primeiro perdeu seu técnico, O'neil que saiu por não concordar com o modelo de modéstia do Villa, que vendeu seus principais jogadores e agora faz campanha instável.O Liverpool beirou entrar em administração( o que significa até a perda de pontos) e muita tensão de bastidores antes da venda definitiva.

Na parte central da tabela, há de se louvar a bela campanha do Blackpool, que veio da Championship com um time barato, não investiu grandes fundos e já somou 13 pontos.No grupo dos pequenos surpreendentes também se encontram os outros dois times recém promovidos, Newcastle( que possui um time bem forte desde a Championship) e West Brom fazem belas campanhas e estão na parte de cima da tabela , em 7º e 6º respectivamente.

Daí para cima, nada ocorreu fora do esperado, os 4 times com maior investimento estão à frente, com alguma folga para o time mais forte da liga, o Chelsea.

Daqui a 10 rodadas eu volto.

Hoje é o aniversário da data mais importante do sec.XX, possivelmente. Há vinte anos atrás caía o muro de Berlim.Desnecessário falar sobre a separação , queda dos regimes do leste europeu e tudo mais.

Mas acho que vale apena visitar o site da BBC, que faz uma linda cobertura do acontecimento e ainda ver a tentativa dos ingleses de remontar o muro. Sim, eles pedem em seu site que todos os que tem algum pedaço do muro original digam aonde estão, muito bacana.

Hoje eu descobri o http://www.freerice.com/index.php , que visa angariar comida para crianças famintas através de um quiz.O quiz é variado e sempre que acertar , uma doação de 10 grãos de arroz irá para esse programa da FAO.

Resultado: A united ofereceu mundos e fundos para que ele retirasse a música do ar, os quais foram prontamente recusados pelo músico, que ainda fez uma versão mais refinada.

END THE SIEGE OF GAZA

The Alliance of Concerned Jewish Canadians rejects the Israel government's pretensions, which claim to be interested in peace with the Palestinian people.The negotiations with the Palestinian Authority of President Abbas have acheived nothing at all, and the colonization of 500.000 settlers and 600 checkpoints continue to function and even expand despite the treaties for the formation of the Palestine State.
The cease-fire by the HAMAS-led government during the past year was respected for 6 months in spite of the generally closed crossing points, preventing the entry of food and medicines by either Israel or Egypt and despite the confrotations between the group Islamic jihad and the Israel military.Previously, there has already been an unilateral cease-fire from HAMAS, over a 16-month period, as well.

The lgally elected govrnment of HAMAS is committed to a ceasefire that could be extended for 10 years with the further resolution of outstanding issues for the refugees and jerusalem, as announced by HAMAS in the Ney York Times and the Washington Post.Israel and Egypt must leave open the crossing points into GAZA, to allow the necessities of life to enter.The major political parties in Israel have refused to respect the cease-fire and peace with the Palestinians.The HAMAS-led government has agreed to end rocket attacks when the crossing points are opened.

With the refusal of Israel to negotiate a cease-fire it is now the responsability of progressive Jews internationally and the Israeli jewish opposition to voice our revulsion at the irresponsible and criminal leadership of many Jewish organization such as the Canada-Israel Committee,Jewish National Fund and the Canadian Jewish Congress.The need for a jewish voice of opposition to declare that Israel does not act in our names is urgent..Protests from Jewish organizations are multiplying internationally,affecting communities'conscoiusness. The eight brave women who occupied the Israel consulate in Toronto further exposed Israel's brutal inavsion of GAZA and broke through to the international media in the name of the Jewish opposition

Israel acts in contradiction to the Jewish People's will and interests.

We speak out now to denounce the intransigence of the State of Israel.We refuse its pretensions to be acting on behalf of Israeli civilians; it acts for the interest of the militarizes State. By calling Israel the ''jewish state'' the media is giving credibility to that power and does not differentiate betwwen Zionist Israel and the Jewish communities internationally who do not have a vote in Israel.

Israel needs to release the palestinian political prisioners if the Israeli soldier Shalit, held in Gaza, would be released.Currently there are 11.000 Palestinian prisoners.

It is not the Jewish people who are at war with the palestinians,but rather the State of Israel and its allies internationally.We are in solidarity with the Arab and Islamic cultures who oppose the attacks from Israel.

While it is questionable that Israeli civilian towns are targeted,this does not explain the mass targeting of the Gazan population.So far, there are 800 deathes, averaging 54 per day, a systematic massacre. 80% of the Gazan population are refugees,expelled from Israel. Israel seeks control over the offshore natural gas rather than the security of its citizens

We call for an international organizes Jewish revolt against the Zionist State of Israel, publically rejecting its clams to speak for Jewish communities everywhere
